LINDA SHAW

Journalism was Linda Shaw’s whole life for 15 years – until one day she became the story. For weeks, intimate details of her life (whether true or not) were emblazoned across the tabloids in both South Africa and England. It was a wake-up call that would change her forever.

“I stared at the endless piles of newsprint, each one competing with the next for a juicier morsel, and suddenly it dawned on me: This is what I do for a living.
And in that moment she decided to change her life.

Some years earlier, meanwhile, a friend had sent Linda to an astrologer as part of ‘the best birthday present I have ever had’. Linda was fascinated. “I had to learn how this was done. I began studying with the astrologer that very night.”
Now Linda writes horoscopes for some 10 publications – including the Sunday Times, Elle, True Love and Longevity magazines. She reads charts, teaches astrology, tarot, numerology, has trained as a Reiki master and gives talks around the country. She has written 2 books, and is planning several more. She is a regular guest on South African television and radio stations. She lives with her daughter in Johannesburg
